The charge indicator is designed to be connected to a voltage (capacitance) test point on either a 200A or 250A loadbreak elbow or a T-type cable connector, which enables the operator to ascertain with confidence whether the cable is currently energized or live. The indicator features semi-conductive housings and components crafted from epoxy resin, ensuring its robustness and adaptability to a wide range of environmental conditions. Notably, these indicators are engineered to function effectively without the need for any additional power source. When the voltage level surpasses the threshold of 2kV P-g, the neon lamp embedded within the indicator will begin to flash, providing a clear visual indication of the presence of high voltage.
